Victor Union Hall

June 6, 1904 was a bloody day in Colorado.  A union assassin blew up a train depot near Cripple Creek; 13 men were killed.  Then the two sides in the labor war faced off in the nearby town of Victor.  The National Guard opened fire on the union members in the Western Federation of Miners (WFM) building downtown.  Two men died and several people were hurt before the unionists surrendered.  A kangaroo court ordered more than 260 deported from the state.  And the power of the WFM was broken in Colorado.
